PACE Center for Girls

In February 2006, Ormond Beach becomes “home” to PACE Center for Girls. I am very passionate about PACE and the work they do. This is a year-round, highly distinguished, unique, holistic academic program in the State of Florida catering exclusively to young girls ages 11 through 18, who are at high risk of becoming juvenile delinquents. It is through Education and Counseling these young girls grow up to be an awesome positive impact in their communities and become contributing members to society.

Since 2001, I have been serving as a proud member of the Board of Directors of PACE Volusia and Flagler Counties, I am very excited they are making Ormond Beach their new home. In a search for a bigger facility to increase and enhance the services PACE provides to young girls at risk, the old Maude Lawrence Rigby School building became available. Since the building was in disrepair, through agreements with the City of Ormond Beach and through Community efforts, PACE is restoring the building to its original intent: The Education of Children.

This amazing step will give PACE a place to grow and contribute in a much larger scale. It will make a difference, to the educational and emotional needs of hundreds of young girls, for many years to come! The presence of PACE in our Ormond Beach Community, will become an “impacting force.”

Welcome Home PACE!
