| The Sun was just setting as the Fourth of July celebrations were winding down and all was quiet around the house. Just me, my thoughts and my shadow. Suddenly, a loud groaning/moaning sound came from everywhere and before I could say “What the hell???” … the earth was shaking under my feet. I have been through hurricanes, fires and small tornadoes, but never ever have I been in an earthquake. As I scrambled to hang on to something, anything, I found myself near the kitchen sink, only to find out that was moving too! And just as it came, it went. All 40 seconds of it. A 5.6 magnitude, 15 miles north of this Ring of Fire, small Pacific town in Costa Rica known as Playas del Coco and as the locals told me: “It was a very small shake.” Was I scared? Part of me was, the other part was caught in a majorly “count my blessings” gratitude mode and appreciative for all my fingers and toes. Not sure why extremities came to mind, but they did. And, I didn’t fall! That was a biggie. Also, electric and WiFi stayed on, ’till the following morning when it all went away for 2 hours. What and adventure! and once again, I’m reminded about the importance of SHIFTING, in our bodies and in our souls. The Earth is sending messages all over the place, and to my Californian friends, you have been through enough. We are literally living at The Edge of Change! What’s that going to look like? So I have a few ideas, and will share them with you when we work together. And if you happen to be going through your own Ring of Fire, be proud of who you are, reach out, and let help come to you as I know you have been there many time for others to give help to them. Perhaps this is your turn to receive and remember, there is great beauty and grace in that.
