“Self-Care is our Divine Responsibility.”
Never thought of it that way; however, she is right! How can she not be!
After surviving yet, another Florida Hurricane, I was left with energy-depletion. It felt like “the Calm AFTER the Storm” and I was exhausted. I looked for ways to get back to a sense of normalcy and it was difficult to find one. Yes, I used meditation, quiet spaces, contemplation, disconnection, long periods of silence, introspection, and did it help? You bet it did! However, in so doing I realized that my actions towards finding “normalcy” were futile and I was skipping the most important aspect of it all…..”Extreme Self-Care!”
So rather than “mix and match” my periods of silence and introspection with every day routine, I took a brake by simply “being” for one day, and relish in the glory of all my blessings. Life was not going to be usual for a while, so why pretend, push, shove and create a perception of time versus normalcy? If I want normalcy, I must be real about my own stuff, and simply “be.”
The following is my own quote that I now use it for solace and inspiration:
“The Earth has shaken, The Winds have roared and just as the Soil Shifts … So do Our Souls.”
May this inspire you and move you to take action towards your own extreme self-care. After all, as Zsuzsa says: It is our Divine Responsibility.
Sometimes we need a chat, sometimes we need guidance, and sometimes, we need to just be. Clarity comes from engagement. Find your sweet spot, and when needed…. I am here for you!
I always like to remind you dear one, that YOU are NOT alone. You are important, you matter and you are very much loved!
Live in Grace, Faith and Trust!
I’m with you every step of the way.
